Weigh in week 3

Well today we had our third weigh in and unfortunatley I gained a pound (I am now at 229lbs). This does not surprise me because of the food I have eaten over the weekend. I also could be building a little muscle which is possible but I doubt. I am not discouraged at all, I understand that there will be times like this and the best thing to do is just keep plugging along. Overall I do feel better and I am even sleeping better at night. I do not seem to be getting up as much. Well enough for now good luck everyone!

Father's Day Weekend

Well made it through the weekend without to much of a let down on food. On Saturday we held a party for our daughters 2nd birthday. We had a nice cook-out with the normal food hot dogs and hamburgers and who can forget the chips and cake! And today we had some more leftover hotdogs for lunch topped off with steaks for dinner. I was able to get my walks in while it wasn't too hot. Hopefully I have not gained any weight this week due to the extra food but you have to live allittle especially after I have been so good the past few weeks. Well Tuesday will tell how bad it has been.

Weigh-in Week 2

Well we are at weigh-in number 2. I am down to 228lbs from 244lbs in just two weeks. I have accomplished this by eating my normal meals just cut out the snacking and useless eating (eating when bored, not hungry etc). And of coarse good old fashion exercise. I walk/jog 10 laps around the track at work which is about 2.5 miles a day 5 days a week. Water has also helped me in this as well. I no longer drink soda of any kind and only have a cup of coffee in the morning to get me going (not that I will never drink soda again just not right now). I think I packed on the weight due to lack of physical activity and eating a lot of junk food and tons of snacking. I have a desk job and spend 2 hours a day in a car. I hope everyone else is doing well that is in our diet group. Good bye fat!

Exercise

Yesterday I walked/ran 10 laps around the track at the school I work for. I still can not jog a complete lap but can do a half a lap then walk the rest. It is getting easier to do the exercise. The diet is still going good. We went to see the movie cars last night and all I ate was a medium popcorn with no butter and a few french fries. This is good since we normally get a large popcorn which has free refills with lots of butter.

Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi

I normally reserve my opinions on the war in Iraq and politics to myself. But this morning I have learned that Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi has been killed in a US/Iraq Bombing of a safe house. It sounds horrible but I wish he didn't die suddenly rather he die in the manner that he has inflicted on innocent people. This man was a monster and deserved to die! Next Bin Laden!

The fat has spoken!

Well today was the first weighin and I am very pleased. I am down 10 pounds. I now weighin at 234. I think my body is going in to shock with the exercise and lack of sugar and junk! But over all I feel better just tired after some of my walks/runs which is to be expected. My biggest problems have been lazyness and habitual eating. I would eat even though I am not hungry. I almost feel the same cravying for food as I did for cigarettes in which I will be smoke free 4 years this August. Anyhow glad to see that just about everyone in our group has reported some form of weight loss this past week. I truley hope everyone stays with it including myself. Everyday gets a little easier than the day before. Hang in there my overweight friends! LOL couldn't resist.

Tomorrow's the day!

Well tomorrow will be the groups first weigh in. I am excited to see how everyone has done. I know personally I am happy so far. This diet is going above and beyond just losing weight it is becoming a change in attitude and life. I find I pee alot more LOL but overall I feel much better.
